Privacy policy

Arco Industrial Services Ltd. provides industrial maintenance services in Calgary, Alberta. This policy explains what happens to personal information you send us through this website.

We collect very little, and we do not store it ourselves.

What we collect

The contact form on this site asks for your name, your company, your email address, and your message. Those four things are all we ask for, and we only receive them if you choose to send them.

The form also carries a hidden field and a timestamp recording when the page loaded. Neither is shown to you and neither is used to identify you — they exist only to filter out automated spam submissions.

The form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a spam-protection check that verifies you are a person rather than an automated system. It runs in your browser and sends technical signals to Cloudflare to make that assessment.

What happens to it

When you submit the form, your message is sent to us as an email. We do not have a database. We do not write submissions to a file. There is no record of your enquiry on this website at all.

Your enquiry therefore exists in our email account, and in the sending records of the email service that delivered it. We read it, and we reply to you.

Who else sees it

Three companies are involved in getting your message to us, all of them located in the United States:

• Resend, which delivers the email. A copy remains in Resend’s sending records.
• Google, which provides the email account we receive enquiries in. Your message stays there until we delete it.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website. Cloudflare processes the technical details of your connection — such as your IP address — in order to serve the site and protect it from attack. Cloudflare also processes browser and device signals through Turnstile to determine whether a visitor is human and prevent automated abuse.

This means your information is transferred outside Canada and is subject to the laws of the United States, including lawful access by American authorities. Sending us an enquiry means accepting that.

Inside Arco, your enquiry is read by the people who need to read it in order to respond to you. We do not sell your information, we do not share it for marketing, and we do not give it to anyone else.

How long we keep it

Your enquiry stays in our email account until we delete it. We have not set an automatic deletion schedule, and we would rather tell you that than invent one.

If you want your enquiry deleted, ask us and we will delete it.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to this site. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, does not fingerprint your device, and does not follow you to other websites. It tells us how many people visited a page, and nothing about who they were.

We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising tracker.

Cookies

Arco sets no cookies of its own. The spam-protection widget on the contact form is provided by Cloudflare, and it may set cookies on Cloudflare’s own domain to verify that you are not an automated system. These are not used to identify you or to follow you to other sites.

Your rights

Under Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act, and under the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act where it applies, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, or to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
